Artist Development Workshop: Writing About Your Work
Develop the skills to support and sustain a studio practice. Designed for artists, this series of facilitated workshops with experts in their field enriches and hones a creative career path through practical guidance and individualized attention.
In this interactive session, learn to articulate intuitive aspects of your process and develop persuasive communication techniques. Rethink or fine-tune your artist statements, grant applications, and more.
Workshop facilitator Emily Cornell du Houx’s practice covers a wide range of mediums and processes, from writing to photography, object making and commercial design. A lecturer at RISD, she develops curriculum that integrates writing into a studio-based practice.
Fee: $15, members: $5.
Artist development is supported, in part, by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and by an anonymous donor. To find out more about how NEA grants impact individuals and communities, visit arts.gov.
