Free classes for high school students at the RISD Museum of Art every Thursday in monthly sessions. Each monthly session focuses on specific themes and techniques. Explore how art and design can provoke fresh ideas, elicit conversation, and stimulate creativity. Meet at the 224 Benefit Street entrance, all materials provided.
NOVEMBER: We Are What is Not // Absence, Erasures, and the Unvisible
Working with deletions, erasures, and cover-ups as tools for creating, we will experiment with artistic strategies, from redactive writing and erasure drawing as we make by avoiding, obscuring, eliminating, denying, and deleting.
3:30pm-6pm (3:30-4pm open studio time, 4pm-6pm class time)
Free. Pre-registration is required, space is limited.
