Films: "Kiss" and "Eat"
6:30 – 8 pm, Metcalf Auditorium, Chace Center
These two silent, black & white films by Andy Warhol continue to challenge conventional filmmaking. In Kiss, slow-motion sequences of couples kissing include figures from both the Factory and the New York art scene. (1963-1964, 54 min., not rated). Eat is a classic of Warhol’s minimalist cinema, featuring artist Robert Indiana slowly eating a single mushroom. (1964, 39 min., not rated).
