The RISD Museum is partnering with Studio Institute’s ARTS Intern Providence Program to offer two summer 2017 internships. The ARTS Intern Program provides exciting opportunities for college undergraduates to learn about nonprofit professions through internships at museums and other cultural institutions. The program seeks candidates with demonstrated financial need and encourages applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Summer 2017 ARTS Intern positions:
The Graphic Design intern will be in charge of the exhibition graphics for the Designing Traditions V exhibition, opening August 11. The intern will learn the process of designing experiential graphics from concept to delivery of files for production and overseeing installation. The student will work with the curators, museum editor, and installation manager to complete the project while receiving guidance and instruction from the graphic design department. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of typography and graphic design fundamentals and be able to work with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
