Concert: Ordinary Affects perform "Gentle Traces of Transient Being"
Chace Center Lobby
Ordinary Affects presents a day-long performance of “Gentle Traces of Transient Being” by composer Antoine Beuger. This piece was written specifically for the group and this is the first time it has been performed in its entirety. Throughout the day, the ten members of the ensemble will be performing discreet, intimate musical phrases in the manner of stanzas of a poem spread over long periods of time.
Ordinary Affects is a collective of musicians from the New England area who gather to workshop, explore, commission and perform contemporary experimental music. Composer Antoine Beuger is the founding member of the Wandelweiser collective – an international community of composers who create slow, quiet, intimate music of a minimal nature.
