Sarni Pootoogook, Birds Walking, 1964. Gift of Mr. and Mrs. James Houston.

How does a curator select works of art for an exhibition? How do we decide what color to paint the walls? How are fragile works of art stored? Get behind the scenes and consult with Museum staff in our curatorial departments as part of worldwide #askacurator day.

We will be answering questions all day, with live Q+A with curators happening at specific times:

10:00 am - 11:30 am — Elizabeth Williams, David and Peggy Rockefeller Curator of Decorative Arts and Design

11:30 am - 1:00 pm — Anita Bateman, Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs

Ask your question in advance on Facebook or Instagram or join us in real time on Twitter with @RISDmuseum.
