Artist Lab: Alex Da Corte
In conjunction with Creative Time’s Pledges of Allegiance project, currently on view, artist Alex Da Corte invites all to experience an exploration of wrapping. This hands-on workshop uses unexpected materials and collaborative methods to wrap a variety of shapes.
Alex Da Corte received his BFA from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, and his MFA from the Yale University. His first survey exhibition Free Roses was held at MASS MoCA in 2016, and he has shown at Maccarone Gallery in New York, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, Gio Marconi in Italy, the Whitney Museum (2014, together with Jayson Musson), and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. In 2012, Da Corte was awarded a Pew Fellowship in the Arts from the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
