Design Dialogue: Murray Moss and Rosanne Somerson
Designer and curator, Murray Moss in conversation with RISD’s President, Rosanne Somerson (RISD BFA 1976 Industrial Design), reflects on the evolution of modern design traced through his innovative design gallery in NYC during the 1990s, MOSS. On the occasion of Mr. Moss and his partner Franklin Getchell’s new book, Please Do Not Touch (and other things you could not do at Moss, the design store that changed design) (2018, Rizzoli), this celebration of design highlights the changes in attitude, aesthetics, economics, and sociopolitical aspects of both design objects and processes.
