Porcelain in the Making
What can art-making materials tell us about the natural world, global trade, social and cultural frameworks, and artists' ideas? This series of gallery conversations and studio experiences immerses participants in hands-on exploration while investigating the history and context of a material once so highly valued it was known as "white gold."
This is a two-session series. Sessions are on February 8 and 15.
Materials provided; no experience necessary. Registration required. Fee: $50, members: $30.
