Acclaimed actress, Sylvia Ann Soares, appears as Nancy Elizabeth Prophet, RISD’s first Black graduate. Prophet shares her 1920s Paris diaries which led the Rhode Island native to an impressive career as a sculptress of international renown.

A gallery talk on Prophet’s sculpture by museum educator Horace Ballard follows. Co-sponsored by Rhode Island Council for the Humanities and Opera Providence. Free.
