Focusing on the forms, materials and imagery in Zita by Lynda Benglis and Round Blue/Green Vessel by Shari Mendelson, students learn about and explore how and why artists can use surprising materials to make their sculptures. Students are then prompted to create their own original sculptures out of everyday things around them.
