In response to COVID-19, the RISD Museum is closed to the public until further notice with limited access for RISD students, faculty, and staff with an active RISD ID starting September 17.
Museum Hours (beginning 9/17)

Everyone must access the museum through the Chace Center entrance at 20 North Main Street. Students must show their ID and check in at the front desk, but do not need to make an appointment to visit. Faculty and staff will need to make a reservation online.

Admission is free every Sunday (10 am–5 pm) and on the third Thursday evening of each month (5–9 pm).
We are proud to offer free admission to active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families year-round.
Admission is free for up to four people for Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders with ID, as part of the Museums for All program.

The Museum is easily accessible by state- and city-wide bus services and is located .2 miles from the Kennedy Plaza bus station. Bus information can be accessed here.
Visiting school or charter buses can drop passengers off at 20 North Main Street.
Short term bus parking is available at Roger Williams National Memorial Park at 282 North Main Street.

Discounted parking is available to Museum visitors at all Metropark locations. Parking is also available at metered spots on adjacent streets. Visitors may park for free at RISD faculty/staff lots on weekends.
