Jacob Richman and Kirsten Volness are partners who collaborate often on multimedia performance projects that include a homeless advocacy music and theater group (Tenderloin Opera Company), a local new music ensemble and concert series (Verdant Vibes), and a collective of artists and astrophysicists (Meridian Project).
Artists working in a variety of disciplines and mediums offer interventions in response to European paintings on view in Intermission in this Assembly series. Like the informal presentation of paintings, these performances offer opportunities for chance encounters and unintentional juxtapositions.
Assembly is supported by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how NEA grants impact individuals and communities, visit arts.gov.
