Reba Mitchell curates Reserve from 10/29 - 11/3.A reserve, to stow away for the winter in your heart. A store to gather, of stillness; to bed down the mind that asks "Why?" Shhh, shhh.... — Reba Mitchell
10/30: VirusseErupting from below the narrow river, tangled in electric seaweed, coated in the dirt and dust of warehouses, the wind through your hair, cedar smoke, frost on your blanket, the most warm knits, damp with autumn. Both listener and performer will close their eyes, wrapped in a memory. — Virusse
Free with museum admission.
Rebecca Mitchell left Oklahoma for Rhode Island in 2001 for reasons unbeknownst even to her. She ferried with her her songs and her musical practice, perhaps the only consistencies in her life.
Mindy Stock is a 23 year old feminist musician based out of Providence. She has played drums in the What Cheer Brigade and Sandworm, guitar in Jelen, and baritone horn in Dog Trumpet. In the autumn of 2011, she decided to start the solo project, Virusse, a loop based synth noise pop project with ethereal yet harsh vocals. Through this project she aspires to find a balance between the man-made and nature.
