Liza Burkin is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While in between adventures, she is the Communications Associate at the American Camp Association of New England. Liza is freelance writer focusing on sustainable food and the environment. She is also a gardener, music lover, and pedicab rider in Newport.Amy McCoy is a writer, recipe developer, photographer, and broadcast producer. She is the author of Poor Girl Gourmet: Eat in Style on a Bare-Bones Budget, published by Andrews McMeel Publishing in 2010. She is the founder of the blog Poor Girl Gourmet, and now writes at TinyFarmhouse.com. She is a contributor to Edible Rhody, writing a regular column on fresh, affordable meals. Her photography has been licensed for use in home décor and stationery, including a license with Hallmark UK for note cards sold exclusively at Marks and Spencer. She has produced graphic packages and promotions for A&E, CBS Evening News, Discovery, ESPN, and History Channel, has field produced a co-branded commercial for Cooking Channel, and has a regional Emmy for work on the redesign of WGN-TV in Chicago.
