Russell Ferguson is a professor in the Department of Art at the University of California and adjunct curator at the Hammer Museum. He has curated exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford; and the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC. Ferguson is the editor of two collections of critical writing: Discourses: Conversations in Postmodern Art and Culture, and Out There: Marginalization and Contemporary Cultures and has written about the work of many contemporary artists.
