In Demo & Discourse, artists, designers, and experts from across disciplines and mediums share examples of their work and talk about process.
The pair of BIF designers will conduct a participatory
experience mapping demo where visitors will map personal
experiences and use the map to ideate a better, more

Kara Dziobek is an Experience Designer at the Business
Innovation Factory in Providence, RI where she uses
human-centered design and business model innovation to
transform social systems including health care and
education. She is passionate about designing for the
underserved, bringing communities together, and helping
people & places realize their true potential. She received her
bachelor degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from Rhode
Island School of Design.
With a background in psychology, design thinking, and
anthropological methods, Lindsey brings an empathic point
of view to her role as Experience Designer at BIF. She
specializes in using contextual and co-creative research
approaches for uncovering a rich understanding of people
in terms of their attitudes, values, behaviors, experiences,
and aspirations. These insights help to inform and inspire
companies to create meaningful solutions that will connect
with people on a functional and emotional level.
Before joining BIF, Lindsey honed her human-centered
research skills at several design consultancies where she
worked on projects across a variety of industries. She also
held positions as a project manager and coordinator at
various creative consultancies on both coasts.
Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and
Humanistic Studies from McGill University and a Master of
Science degree in Design Ethnography from the University
of Dundee in Scotland.
