International Repair Day
About
International Repair Day celebrates "making repair visible and recognizing the value in fixing our stuff." In conjunction with the Museum's exhibit, Repair and Design Futures, and the not-for-profit global movement, Fashion Revolution USA, consider your own mending and repairs with designers, makers, and experts.Watch a cobbler bring life into worn-out shoes, receive guidance on repair dilemmas from student designers at the Prescription Repair booth, and watch an animated film about systems of production and consumerism.
Free with admission.
Fashion Revolution USA, a not-for-profit global movement, campaigns for systemic reform of the fashion industry with a focus on the need for greater transparency in the fashion supply chain.
International Repair Day was started last year by the London-based Restart Project.
