The New York / New England based ensemble Ordinary Affects (J. P. A. Falzone, keyboard/vibraphone; Luke Martin, guitar/electronics; Luke Damrosch, organ/lute; Francesca Caruso, violin) perform premieres of new works composed by members of the group for their residency this past summer at the Hewnoaks Artist Colony in Lovell, Maine. The pieces draw upon such varied sources as number theory and alternate tunings, the literary work of Fernando Pessoa, and Orphic hymnody.
