Steffani Jemison
About
In conjunction with the exhibition Steffani Jemison: Maniac Chase, Escaped Lunatic, and Personal, the artist shares her vision and process, with a special emphasis on her video practice. Jemison uses time-based, photographic, sculptural, and discursive platforms to examine "progress" and its alternatives in many of her works. A discussion with Jemison, Courtney J. Martin, assistant professor, History of Art & Architecture, Brown University, and A. Will Brown, curatorial assistant, Contemporary Art, RISD Museum, immediately follows.
