Summer Teen Intensive
This free 11-day program immerses high school students in art and creative experience. Participants spend two weeks surrounded by artists, designers, and fellow creative thinkers as they examine work from across time and cultures and respond through art-making, writing, and discussion. See what past students have produced here.
This year's program is "The Experimentation Room," where artists and designers will challenge students with prompts that embrace creative struggles, collaborative discord, and the need to make something happen rather than something perfect. Inspired by the upcoming exhibition "Designing Brilliance: Gorham Manufacturing 1850-1970," students will be challenged to explore creativity using non-digital methods.
The application process is competitive and space is limited. The application is open until May 6 at 5:00 pm.
