Ways of Looking at Prints
About
Examine European prints from the dawn of printmaking, the 15th century, through the 17th century. Emily Peters, Associate Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs discusses artists working in a variety of techniques, including Albrecht Dürer, Hendrik Goltzius, and Rembrandt van Rijn. Through close observation of prints, discussion, and art historical information learn to identify printing processes, judge the quality of print impressions, and understand the condition and history of individual prints.
Fee: $20 (includes admission), Members: $10. Registration required.
