A mini-operetta using queer phenomenology and a maximalist approach to journey down the rabbit hole of representation. The DIVERSITY FELLOWS!, with a cast of 30 performers, take on the backstories of Dutch, British, and French paintings in Intermission.
DIVERSITY FELLOWS! (Marc Boucai + Reya Sehgal) is a critical camp collaborative. The FELLOWS have shown their work at UC Davis; AS220, Providence; the Arab American National Museum, Detroit; Panoply Performance Lab, Brooklyn; and Distillery Gallery, Boston. They are Diversity Fellows at RISD 2017-2018.
Artists working in a variety of disciplines and mediums share their work in gallery spaces. Framed by the chance juxtapositions of objects on view in Intermission, these performances present creative interpretations, inclusive practices, and sensory experiments.
