Come Build a Scary Carcass: A drop-in workshop for the public, assembling giant screenprinted, hinged, paper monsters to hang from the walls! — Walker Mettling
Family friendly event, all ages welcome. Free with museum admission.
For the past 5 years, Walker Mettling has hosted a 'story event' series all over Providence. He also runs the Providence Comics Consortium, a micro-comics publisher that spreads the comics art form to kids all over the state.
Mimi Chrzanowski physically works at the Dirt Palace, a feminist art collective space in Providence, but mentally works in a pink dolphin-shaped rocket ship powered by apple cider vinegar and mochi ice cream. Most likely she's making comics, animated gifs, and prints about play.
Alison Rutsch is an illustrator and educator from Maryland, now rooted in Providence. She loves comics.
