Legendary artist Patti Smith speaks about her work and creative process in a rare Providence appearance at the 37th annual Silver Lecture. Smith is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee (2007), National Book Award-winning author (Just Kids, 2010), Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (France, 2005), and winner of the prestigious Polar Music Prize (2011).
This event is SOLD OUT. A live simulcast will be available at RISD Museum's Metcalf Auditorium. The simulcast will be a non-ticketed event, filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
A limited number of tickets will be held for RISD students at CSI's Carr Haus desk. These tickets will be released starting at noon on September 28.
