Open Hours and Office Hours offer college students unique access to the museum’s collections and staff.
Open Hours are an opportunity to request to see works in the museum’s collection that are not on view in the galleries. Open Hours are offered for the two areas of the collection that have dedicated study center spaces: Prints, Drawings, & Photographs and Costume & Textiles.
Just like office hours with professors, Office Hours are an opportunity to speak with a museum staff member. Museum staff have expertise in areas ranging from museum careers to material properties to community engagement. You can learn about museum practices, share your work for feedback and conversation, ask lingering questions after you’ve done initial research on a work in the collection, or get advice on how to hang your work in your next student exhibition.
