Use artworks from the RISD Museum collection to create narrative and symbolism that explores the emotional motivation for making art using a variety of drawing materials. Facilitated by artist Sydney Darrow. All-ages welcome. Drop-in. Free. Sydney Darrow is a Rhode Island based artist that creates both representational realism and abstract art and specializes in a combination of the two styles referred to as "magical realism." Her work is created using a variety of mediums including oil paint, ink, charcoal, and graphite and explores narrative using thought provoking themes of duality, femininity, and relationships. She has worked with many galleries and organizations across RI including Waterfire, The Rhode Island Foundation, HeArtspot Gallery, and more.
