Guidelines for installations: Radeke Building Façade

  • Work must be able to withstand the elements, including rain, wind, snow, and falling ice
  • Work may be attached to the exterior wall of the Museum using a minimum of fasteners, to be determined in consultation with Museum staff
  • The door is a fire exit and may not be obstructed
  • Electric power is not available
  • Excavations must be approved to ensure that they do not affect underground structures or utilities
  • Plantings may not be substantially altered
  • Nothing may protrude outside the iron fence
  • Objects must be secured to discourage theft and vandalism
  • No toxic materials, open flames, unsealed liquids, animals, or edible materials
  • Potentially flammable materials will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine if alternative materials or fire retardants are required
