Stamped LL in red:VENTE/ COROT

Seals: In the center, center of the strainer is a red wax seal.Written upside down on this label are the words "VENTE /COROT". written upside down "VENTE / COROT"

Marks: In the upper center of the verso frame, written in blue (possibly pencil) are an encircled "43" to the right of which there are written the letters "L" (possibly a "z") followed by a "P".To the right of the blue writing, in pencil is written the RISD accession number, "54.175".In the upper right corner of the verso frame, in pencil is written "CASE 59822/15".In the left center of the verso frame on a piece of masking tape in ink, is written "COROT (separating dot) BO...[obscured by a metal hanging device] 4". In the upper right corner of the strainer, written in red pencil are three illegible numbers, then the numbers "961[illegible number]5".Beneath these numbers in bluish pencil are more illegible numbers.In the upper center of the canvas in black ink is an oval stamp with the writing "DL TRIMONT / [illegible] / [illegible] /[illegible]". On the backing board in the upper right corner, written in pencil is the number "737".In the Upper right quadrant of the backing board in red marker is the RISD accession number "54.175".

Label: In the upper left quadrant of the verso strainer is an old label with a typed "No." followed by (in ink) "25105 / Corot / INTERIEUR D'UN CHALET DE / L'OBERLAND BERNOIS p.r.v. / Vente Corot no 124 / No 731 du r[?]ohau[illegible letter, n?]".In the upper right corner of the strainer is a rectangular label with a blue beveled border.In the center of the label written in pencil is the number "4038".In the lower right corner of the strainer is the remnants of a removed label.To the left of the remnant is an old rectangular label with a typewritten "No." followed by (in blue ink) "19978" / Corot / Landschaft".On the backing board in the upper Left corner is a new RISD museum label with a red border.In the upper center of the backing board is a red "Do Not Touch" label. In the upper right corner is an Arts COuncil of Great Britian label (probably a loan label).In the lower right quadrant is a label for the exhibition "The Spirit of Barbizon #3".In the lower right corner is a label for a Corot exhibition that traveled to the RMN, NGC and MMA.In the lower center of the backing board is a label for the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1997 for an exhibit on Corot.IN the Left center is a label for the National museum in Paris "Reunion de musees nationaux Paris" from 1996.
