Furuike ya/kawazu tobikomu/mizu no oto

The ancient pond-/a frog jumped/splash!

The famous haiku poem by Matsuo Basho (1644-1694) from his collection Haru no hi (Spring days), autumn 1687. This is likely the best-known haiku in the world.
Kawazu is a season word (kigo) for spring.
