Exhibition History

Exhibition History

Asian Art Galleries

Twirling like a dancing figure, this incense burner is embellished with a beige-green celadon crackle glaze. After years of glaze research and trials, Minegishi re-created the decorative crackle designs characteristic of Chinese Song Dynasty (960–1279) stoneware. The thickly applied glaze here accentuates his elegant form.
