Translation: The kingfisher stopped by then flew away, Far away the call of a grebe

*Kingfisher (kawasemi) is a season word (kigo) for summer. Grebe, (nio or kaitsuburi), is a season word of winter. In the poem winter is far away.

Signature: 広重筆 Hiroshige hitsu (Brushed by Hiroshige)
