Formed in the shape of a flower, this dish is also incised with designs of flowers and vines. Defined by their glossy blue-greenish glaze, ceramics such as this example are known as qingbai ware. One of the first mass-produced porcelains, these wares catered to Chinese and export markets beginning in the 10th century.
