β€œFor [the Domestic] series, I traveled in an RV across the United States on a two-month road trip photographing lesbian couples and families in their homes or environments. There are images of lesbians relaxing in their backyards, hanging out in kitchens, floating in their pools, playing with their children, lounging on beds, staring out windows, and so on. I exhibited them as large-scale color portraits, accompanied by a group of small still-lifes from these various settings. I wanted to focus on the idea of community, the individuals within that community, and how communities are formed.”
