Within the classical world, trends injewelry motifs gained hold and remained popular for centuries. Pendant earrings featuring dangling storage jars (amphorae) were common from the classical period onwards. The upper pair (25.110), made in the 3rd century BCE, was manufactured within the Hellenistic world.
