Seals: Designer's seal: 一立斎 Ichiryūsai; Publisher's seal: Square cartouche (Sanoya Kihei)

Ainsworth, cat. no. 1328 is another impression apparently without publisher's seal but bearing the censor's seal Takano Shinemon, therefore dated to the period 1843-47; Keyes mentions an earlier version in the catalogue of the collection of Alexis Rouart(sold New York, American Art Galleries, 6-7 February 1922, Illustrated Catalogue of Japanese Color Prints, The Famous Collection of the Late Alexis Rouart of Paris, France, Together with a Selection from the Collection of Vicomte des Sartiges and a Few Prints from Another Parisian Collection), lot 925, without moon and birds placed closer to the waves (34.135 in RISDM)
