Label copy

His corrugated cardboard wall sculptures combine oil paint with Day-Glo pigments on discarded, industrially produced packaging material, giving the traditional medium of painting a vernacular aesthetic. The rough edges and hollow, irregular forms evoke the idea of fragments, and the artist’s use of wooden dowels and hanging pieces of wire suggest an incomplete architecture or process of construction.
