Marks: In the lower right corner on the front of the canvas, "188" appears.On the back of the frame, in the upper left corner, the accession number "59.065" is painted in red.Below the accession number, either "21" or "12" is written in graphite.To the right of these, "HallwayRt-door[?]" is written in cursive graphite.In the upper right corner, "153 [or 8?].75" is written in graphite.In the upper left corner of the stretcher, the accession number "59.065" is written in red.At upper center, in upside down graphite, there appears to be a cursive capital, flamboyantly written "N" that is followed by the number 10 [?].At upper right, in white chalk "ExWEITZNER" is written.In the lower right, written upside down in white chalk is "112WAIVI..." At lower center to left and overlapping with the white chalk are black stenciled marks, "7 9 4LV."From lower center to left and extending horizontally upside down, in cursive graphite, is written "no 1" and below this marking is written "Lop" [?].Continuing towards the left "Third loan[?] from W...d... Left-Hand side of Window"[?].In the lower left corner, beginning where the previous stencil ended, there are black stenciled marks: "I I [could be the number one or vertical bars or upper case i's] S [or 8]GB."Overlapping with both the graphite and the black stencil, there is a "52" [appears to be under dark stencil "LV" but over lighter stencil "I"].At the bottom of the vertical brace, "MAR , 20 [?] , 59" is written in white chalk.At the center of the horizontal brace, there is possibly a faintly scratched "P" upside down on the wood.

Label: In the upper left corner of the frame, there is a piece of white tape on which is written the accession number in reddish pink, "59.065."To the right of the tape accession number, there is a relatively new but smudged RISD Museum label with a red border.In the upper left corner of the stretcher, there is a piece of white tape on which is written upside down in reddish pink the accession number "59.065."

Seals: On the right vertical side of the stretcher, in the center, there is a red wax seal, probably upside down, on which two figures stand on either side of a rectangle that has a crown on top of it; beneath the rectangle "LABOR..."[?] is written in small letters.
