Signature / Inscription / Marks

Marks: Gorham [lion / anchor / G] STERLING. Stamped on rear of body. "043" stamped on underside bar with type. • The back of the silver case is marked “GORHAM/lion, anchor, and G marks/STERLING”
• The underneath of the silver case is marked “STERLING”
• On the underneath of the typewriter itself (not the silver cover) there is a “043” marked on the arc shaped metal member to which the keys attach
• The removable silver cover on top of the typewriter has the remnants of a paper tag on the underneath. First line: “A”, second line “S”, third line “u”, fourth line “P.S. 494”

Label: Cast Smith Corona medallion affixed to top front of ribbon guard.
