This print demonstrates artists’ ongoing fascination with the dramatic landscape of the hilltop town of Tivoli near Rome. In View of Neptune's Grotto, by Wilhelm Friedrich Gmelin, we find tiny tourists exploring the newly constructed paths and tunnels through the park and marveling at the views.
