Learning How To See
Work with artist educator Frances Middendorf to develop a visual vocabulary inspired by close looking at art in the galleries. Through guided drawing exercises, weekly assignments, and virtual check-ins you can begin or deepen your sketching practice in this supportive and intensive 10-session course.
Registration required for this in-person course. Space limited.

Frances Middendorf’s artistic practice centers drawing and painting with a focus on Roman history through a feminist lens. She splits her time between Rhode Island and Italy and is a drawing and painting instructor in both locations. Additionally, she is a curator, art reviewer, and writer. Frances received her BFA at Rhode Island School of Design and went on to attain her MFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
