RISD Continuing Education | Explorations at the RISD Museum

This fall, RISD Continuing Education and the RISD Museum offer courses inspired by the collection. These courses are organized by and registered through RISD Continuing Education.
Color & the ImpressionistsImpressionist painting challenged traditional academic rules when it first appeared in the 19th Century—most notably for its radical approach to using color. In this weekend course, examine and draw inspiration from these great examples of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works found in the collection of the RISD Museum. Through viewing, discussion and then creation of work in the studio, students experience the technical and inspirational aspects of this art movement.
Fee: $235 + $15 lab fee.
