Work in Process and Performance with Shawn Greenlee's Sited Sound Course
Thursday, January 22 / 4-7 pm
Museum Galleries
Drop in for an open session and performance with students from the RISD Wintersession class “Sited Sound,” taught by Professor Shawn Greenlee. Working with the IKO–a 20-sided, three-dimensional audio speaker–students share how they compose sound works for public interior spaces, shaping listening experiences in response to the museum’s architecture and atmosphere. Visitors are invited to pause and listen as students share and revise short pieces, followed by brief presentations and an open conversation about space, listening, and shared environments.
Drop-in: 4-6pm
Presentations: 6-7pm
No registration required.
