Workshop
About
Join K-12 educators from different subject areas and grade levels to build cultural and linguistic competence through investigations of artworks. Educators will develop approaches for nurturing multiple perspectives and fostering equitable learning environments with multilingual and multicultural learners. Activities and discussions focus on engaging learners from different linguistic backgrounds through the interpretation of cultural artifacts.
Educators who teach English learners, work in bilingual and dual-language schools, with students in Newcomers programs who have recently arrived to the United States, and those who teach a second language to English speakers, are encouraged to attend.
Cost $50 ($35 for current students) with light refreshments included.
