The first state without publisher's seal of Sanoya Kihei with gradated red in sun and other colors. Gookin is quoted in the cat. file as remarking about 34.277.2 "finest impression I have yet seen save that in the Buckingham Collection [Art Inst. Chicago]," December 1922.
