Marks: In the upper center of the outer frame, "B7P2" is written in red.In the upper right corner, "Box (138)" is written very faintly in red.On the left side of the frame at center are the remains of masking tape.In the upper center of the stretcher, "57.037" is written upside down in graphite on brown tape.In the upper right corner of the stretcher, "P" is written in white chalk.On the right side of the stretcher at center, "Box 138" is written vertically in red.There may be another figure written below this in red.In the lower right corner, "3-4[?]" is written vertically in white chalk.At the top of the vertical brace, "18588"[?] is scratched in black, probably graphite.On the left portion of the horizontal brace, "57.037" is written upside down in graphite and underlined twice.
Label: In the upper center of the frame, there is a green rectangular label, flipped ninety degrees to the left, on which is printed "59 / Lot No."In the upper right corner of the backing board, there is a white RISD Museum label with a red double border.To the left and below that, there is a red label with white lettering that says, "IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE / DO NOT TOUCH / OR REPAIR / WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE REGISTRAR / MUSEUM OF ART / RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN."At the center of the backing board, there is a white label on which is printed "Neuberger Museum / State University of New York... / _The Window in Twentieth-Century Art_ / ...(21 September 1986 - 18 January 1987) / Tour to Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston."
