Marks: In the upper left corner of the frame in red ink, there is a RISD Museum accession number "55.112". On the upper right side of the frame, there is a grahite mark, possibly an "N"[?].On the upper left side of the frame, there is a black mark, possibly a "2"[?]. In the upper left corner of the stretcher, the RISD Museum accession number "55.112" is written in red.In the upper right corner, an ambiguous figure, possibly a "2", is incised with graphite.In the upper left quadrant of the back of the canvas, there is illegible, dark writing.

Label: In the upper left corner of the frame, there is a rectangular, white, relatively new label on which appear among other things, "Roman Baroque" and "University Gallery / University of Florida / Gainsville, Florida."In the upper center of the frame, there is a rectangular, upside down label on which appears the following:[in black ink] "MARTYRD[obscured by bracket; probably "OM O"]F SAINT SEBASTIAN./OIL PAINTING BY G[obscured by bracket; probably "UID"]O RENI (1575 - 1642)/[printed in cursive] P. & D.
