Poem: Ariyake no/nurete ochitaru/fuyô kana The morning moon-/the mallow wet with early dewAriyake means the moon still visible in the morning on certain days of the month. The rose mallows have collected the moisture in their cup-like flowers and will soon drop from the weight of the water. The poem can be given an erotic reading using the same imagery.
