Label copy

Buhot’s “symphonic margins” featured evocative designs, a scene the artist likely saw in London. A bustling street view is surrounded by decorative images that fade in and out of recognition-an effect enhanced by the artist’s practice of wiping the ink on his plates by hand to achieve painterly effects.
