ARE WE ON THE SAME FREQUENCY? Deep Listening Session
About
Experience an immersive, full body listening session for deep relaxation. Singer, actor, dancer, and Sound Healer Shaffany Terrell will guide this experience with her collection of crystal and brass singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and vocalizations.
It is scientifically possible to down-shift brain waves from beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha state (relaxed consciousness) with specific uses of frequency, harmonics, and rhythm, and even reach theta state (meditative consciousness), which has been proven to increase creativity, reduce stress, and enhance contentment and well-being.
Participants will be provided with guidance to creatively express themselves before and after the listening experience to document its effects and initiate reflection into the nature of light, sound, and sympathetic vibrations.
Chairs will be provided and yoga mats are welcome. Free. Drop-in.
Please note a second session will take place on Friday, May 5. Participants are welcome to join one or both sessions.
